How it works
- 1ChooseSixteen everyday moments across four scenes — crush, dating, conflict, breakup. Pick the reaction that feels more like you.
- 2See your typeYou get a four-letter type and where you sit on all four dimensions. If an axis is close to the middle, we say so.
- 3ShareOne link is the whole result. Send it to a friend or to them, and see how your types fit.
What knowing changes
Knowing yourself
You can put into words why that moment hurt, or why you stepped back. You stumble in the same place less often.
Knowing them
You can tell whether a slow reply means cooling off or simply their way of sorting things out alone. You respond with understanding instead of guesses.
Knowing each other
You see in advance where things feel easy and where you tend to clash. A fight turns from 'who was wrong' into 'we do it differently' — and you grow closer.
The 16 love types
Tap a name to read it. Even if it is not yours, you may see someone you know.
Not a single fixed result
The same person changes with who they are with. MBTL measures 'me, usually' and 'me with that person' separately and shows how your type shifts depending on the person. More useful than one fixed result: an answer you can use in the relationship you are in now.
Designed on research
The items stand on long-tested research: adult attachment, the demand-withdraw conflict pattern, implicit theories of relationships. We publish every reference and the limits of the measurement.
